| Make no assumptions about the
men in these photos. Straight, gay, or 'none of the above',
they wear whatever label they have chosen for
themselves. Not all of them started out as men. Men have their own visual strength and magic. Over the years I have learned to appreciate this more and more. I am a devout heterosexual myself, but when I came into the local BDSM community, gay leathermen were a rich source of history, knowledge and technique, as well as being some of the finest people you could hope to meet. As a group and as individuals they have always tried to put more back into their communities than they take out, and they were generous to me.. I have, since the early 90's made it a point of trying to document some of the events and activities of the leather community in general and the men's leather community in particular whenever I was able. Not only is it fun, but I think it's important and to me it's also a way of repaying a debt. The debt I accrued when I was a new and inexperienced Top and they provided a resource I could turn to when I needed it. |
