Events & Performances

I don't think it shows that much in my more formal work, but one of my strongest influences is the great french photographer, Henri Cartier-Bresson, he of the 'decisive moment' and the gift for finding the most remarkable compositions in the unchoreographed activities of people doing the things that people do. I enjoy attending and being involved in events that bring people together, especially if they attract colorful, interesting and uninhibited people--among the audiences as well as the performers. The Seattle Erotic Art Festival,  Washington Mr. and Ms. leather titles, Northwest Leather Sir, Cirque du Noc,  Burning Hearts Burlesque shows, and the wonderfully camera-friendly 'alternative' social events like Moonday, Confessional, and Antenna of Strange as well as many others,  are my meat and potatoes.  I'm fortunate to live in  and have access to such  visually rich and fascinating communities as those that can be found here in the Northwest.
