BDSM & Fetish

Bondage. Dominance. Submission. Sadism. Masochism. Fetish.  Erotica.

Loaded words.   A lot of people think they know what they mean.  Many of them are wrong. People get confused into thinking that it has something to do with 'pain'.  Pain -might- be involved, but it's not the point.

It's about  power, faith. trust, magic, chemistry,  control, freedom, and will.

It's about being in control and it's about giving it up.  It's about playing with taboo. It's not 'pain'.  It's 'stimulation in context.'  If the context isn't there, you might as well have just stubbed your toe in the middle of the night. There's not much pleasure to be found in that...

My objective as a photographer and an image maker is not necessarily to go straight from your eyeballs to your groin, though if that's what happens, that's fine.

There seem to be two primary schools of 'fetish photography'.  One involves pretty, pouty girls posing provocatively in shiny lingerie.  The other involves going for the shock value that can be found in the extremes of human behavior.  I've got nothing against either of these approaches if they're done well.

But I am out to capture visually, if I can--the magic, the beauty, the power, the chemistry.  I may not always be successful, but it makes me happy when I am and I'm always trying.
